Our client is a US facility repair and maintenance company that serves commercial and multi-site customers. They need a dependable person to build and grow their network of local subcontractors, the technicians and small companies who handle service calls at customer locations.
What you'll do
- Search for subcontractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, handyman, roofing, painting, doors and locks, and similar trades) in the cities and states the company needs covered
- Use Google Maps, business directories, trade associations and LinkedIn to build lead lists
- Call and email subcontractors to introduce the company and ask about their services, coverage area and rates
- Collect onboarding documents: W-9, certificate of insurance (COI), and trade licenses where required
- Keep the subcontractor database or spreadsheet accurate and up to date
- Help find coverage fast when a new work order comes in for an area with no subcontractor yet
- Follow up until each subcontractor is fully set up, and report progress weekly
What you need
- Strong spoken and written English. You will be calling US businesses every day
- Comfortable making cold calls and following up without being reminded
- Experience in sourcing, recruiting, vendor management, dispatch, or customer service (facility maintenance or construction is a plus)
- Good with Excel or Google Sheets and email
- Reliable computer, stable internet, a headset and a quiet place to work
- Able to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm US Eastern, with a 1-hour lunch
- A short introduction video (1–2 minutes) telling us why you are a good fit for this job. Required. Applications without a video will not be reviewed.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with US trades and how service calls work
- Experience with facility management platforms such as ServiceChannel or Corrigo
